ALYSSA + BRITTANY

We have had some foggy mornings recently which you don’t always find around here so we knew we wanted to take advantage of it. Alyssa and Brittany had messaged us about a couples photoshoot and we originally had a completely different idea and vibe for the shoot prior to the foggy mornings. However, being huge fans of the fog themselves (and Twilight), they immediately were down to switch our plans! This photoshoot is a mix between moody and romantic. It’s got some lighthearted fun moments throughout it with belly laughs and sweet kisses while also having some more editorial posing and a darker, cinematic feel.

One thing that Logan and I love to do is go location scouting. It’s fun traveling around together and seeing what we find. This spot here was a place we found when we first started dating. It was one of our date spots where we’d go to relax and have picnics. We love getting to go back there for photoshoots and make more memories which was exactly what we did with Alyssa and Brittany.

We started off our session by this grassy area and the colors were so stunningly vibrant thanks to the fog. We told Alyssa and Brittany to take a few minutes to just hang out and wake up since it was so early. From the start, they were super sweet and giggly with each other which made it easy for us. One thing we tend to tell our couples is that the energy they bring is what will show in their photos. We can try and make your photos look authentic but if you’re not actively participating, it’s hard to do that.

We moved on from that spot and headed towards the water where we found a dead tree. We had them sit down on it and get all cozy and cuddly. We also came across mountain of sand that had these beautiful trees along it. Well someone else must really love this spot because they even added a swing to the tree. We got some of them swinging and then some of them climbing the trees. This session was really a mix of adventuring around and having fun while also getting some sweet, romantic photos. We went back to the grassy spot we started at and got some photos of them sitting in the grass getting all cozied up again before we ran in the road and called it a day!
