Romantic Flower Field Engagement Photoshoot in Pensacola, FL
DALTON + VICTORIA
Spring time in Florida is probably our favorite time of the year because we’ll get some wildflower fields that appear for a few weeks and it’s pure bliss when they exist! Also, might get a little emotional in this blog post. Here we have Dalton and Victoria’s engagement photoshoot which is such a special one to us. We’ve both been friends with Victoria for years now. Logan and Tori were friends in middle school and Tori has been one of my my best friends for a few years now. You know those people who you have an unspoken language? We can talk about all the deep stuff and yet all the nonsense. We understand each other on a level that you only reach with few people throughout life and I’m so grateful for her.
I can still remember when Victoria first told me about Dalton and I had a feeling that he’d be sticking around, especially after their first date that took place at the hospital. That’s a story for another time though. One of the best parts about seeing your friend find their person is getting to see the love that they deserve. Victoria is easily one of the kindest people I know so to see her get her happy ever after is so sweet.
Now onto their engagement session! We love location scouting and finding new places to shoot at. One day when we were driving through Pensacola, we come across a yellow flower field and loved it. Found out who owned the field and asked if we would be able to do a photoshoot there. Victoria and Dalton were debating on a few different locations at first but as soon as we sent over photos of the flower field they were on board! It’s rare that you get to see an abundance of flowers in the area so we definitely took the opportunity.
Dalton and Victoria both knew what they wanted from their photos. They wanted them to look and feel both romantic and fun. They describe their relationship as very silly and goofy at times so we definitely made sure to get some personality pictures. We typically start off a photoshoot by doing something as simple as having our couples walk hand in hand. This helps connect them a bit and it’s easy to do so it helps with any nerves. After we got them more comfortable in front of the camera, we moved on to some different poses. Truth be told, we only set up about 10 pictures in this gallery. The rest was 100% candid. Victoria and Dalton are very loving with their interactions which made our jobs easy. We can’t wait for their wedding in May to celebrate some more!
