Winter Engagement Photos at the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City

MELANIE + HUY

Logan and I frequently visit New York City and for good reason: we love it! I grew up in upstate New York and loved whenever I got to go to the city for a day trip. Some of my favorite memories are in New York City so getting to go there with Logan is always a blast! We went to the city for a mini vacation and posted our travel dates on Instagram which got us connected to Melanie and Huy. Melanie’s initial message to us was so sweet! She talked about how she’d been stalking us and went through our About section on our website where we go further into our love story, our photography journeys, and who we are as people. We had so many similar interests and hobbies which was easy to help build a connection. That, and they loved our work! Melanie told us about their love story and how they were recently engaged.

We set up an engagement photoshoot at the Brooklyn Bridge. Melanie and Huy told us ahead of time that they had never gotten professional photos done of them before so this was all a new process and they were a bit nervous. Nerves are so common with photoshoots so we’re well experienced with them. Truth is, most people feel award when getting their photos taken. We feel awkward getting our own photos taken! We can relate and because of that, we make sure that we’re making the experience fun, comfortable, and stress-free for our clients. By the end of the photoshoot, both Melanie and Huy talked about how they didn’t feel awkward at all and how the photoshoot felt like a fun date!

After we took some photos on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, we traveled around Brooklyn and just found some spots we liked. It was so cute to see how giggly and in love Melanie and Huy were throughout the photoshoot. Their love just radiates and it really shows in their photos! Throughout the photoshoot, we chatted a lot and it felt like we made new friends. We like to describe working with us to being on a double date. We’re not third wheeling but rather we’re creating memories together and capturing them. We created such a good connection with them that they asked us to photograph their wedding in New Jersey which you can go see that blog here.

If you want us to be your fun double date buddies and get some cute photos of you, reach out here and let’s connect!
