If you've been following our blog, you already know our style and how much we value capturing genuine moments. We always emphasize how important it is to authentically connect with our couples. We never want to be the photographers who just show up, exchange small talk, snap a few photos with the same poses, and call it a day. Instead, we're dedicated to creating a connection well before the shoot, so when we arrive for an engagement session, we're fully invested and ready to deliver something uniquely tailored just for them. And it all starts with getting to know the couple and understanding their vision in advance.

To kick things off, we tend to schedule a call. It's our way of breaking the ice and getting comfortable with each other. During one of these calls, we discovered something special about Kyla and Kenny—they were in a long-distance relationship. Kyla was visiting for the weekend, and this photoshoot was important to them. It was going to be part of their limited time together. Right from that moment, we knew we had to make this experience special for them.

They had expressed how they wanted photos at the beach but also wanted something different than just the beach which lead to us thinking about Fort Pickens. Fort Pickens is a State Park on Pensacola Beach. Inside of it, there’s a few different beach spots as well as the actual site. It’s a mix of beautiful brick buildings and greenery. It was the perfect scenery for what they had in mind.

After nailing down the location, we talked more specifics. “What do you want you photos to feel like? Are you leaning towards something editorial or do you prefer candid shots?" Like many of our couples, they desired a mix of both styles, and we were excited to bring their vision to life!

As you’ll see throughout the gallery, we got an abundance of belly laughs, tender smiles, and gentle kisses. We also managed to capture those breathtaking shots that make you pause and think, "Wow, this could easily be in a magazine!" Kenny and Kyla, our exceptional models, absolutely shone during their engagement photoshoot, and their chemistry truly came alive in every frame.
