TANIA + MATTHEW

Tania and Matthew’s can be described in two words: stunning and wild! Let’s start this off by talking about their venue. They got married at Bella Sera Gardens in Loxley, Alabama. It’s an Italian villa inspired venue that has a beautiful outdoor chapel for the ceremony site. Little fun fact, we almost got married here. It was a runner up venue. Back to setting the scene, they decided to get married towards the end of fall since its their favorite time of year and they love fall colors. Tania said that she told their florist one thing which was the word “fall” and they absolutely crushed it.

We started off the day by getting ready and then got Matthew’s best man ready for the first look. Yes, you read that correctly. Tania and Matthew have a very fun and playful relationship so she wanted to prank him ahead of time. Rather than doing a first look with Matt, Tania had the best man get into a wedding dress that she thrifted and pretended to do a first look. Tania and the bridesmaids got to watch from a window and Matthew’s reaction was priceless! To say he was shocked would be an understatement. We all laughed for a solid five minutes before we packed it up and went back with the girls for a bit. We drank some mimosas and shortly after it was time for the ceremony.

Back to the topic of Tania and Matthew’s playful relationship, they exchanged ring pops during their ceremony. Tania always told Matt that she’d marry him whether it be paper rings or in this case, ring pops. They also gave out lollipops for their guests to enjoy during their ceremony and it was so cute. Also, they had their bridesmaids and groomsmen dance down the aisle to Forever by Chris Brown just like Jim and Pam’s wedding in The Office! Being big fans of the show, they wanted to incorporate it into their day.

Once the ceremony was over, we went to take couples photos. Bella Sera Gardens has this beautiful pond and a rowboat that you can go on. We took some portraits there and then went to reception. Now this is where the party really starts! This wedding was full of party people and they really showed out on the dance floor. Tania and Matt decided they wanted to do a garter toss and it was so funny to watch Tania’s reaction. Matt also gave her a spontaneous lap dance which had the crowd going wild. There’s a series of photos you’ll see in this gallery where one guest is passed out with his head laying down on a table. Several other guests came over to take photos with him and seconds after we took those photos, he fell off his chair and woke up. Don’t worry, no one was injured! He just partied a bit too hard. While there were a bunch of wild moments, there were also plenty of sweet heartfelt ones. Tania surprised her mother by having them do a dance together and she also did a bouquet toss. Her maid of honor, also her daughter, was the one who caught it and it was cute watching them dance all night together. Tania’s nephew who was the ring bear also gave a spontaneous speech where he said and I quote, “I so happy for Auntie Tania!” Like come on, can it get any cuter than that?
