The Shepards

This family photoshoot means the so much to me for several reasons, the first one being that the Shepards are repeat clients of ours. I photographed Jessica’s maternity photos back in 2023 at Navarre Beach so when I received another message form her this year saying that they were coming back with their little one and wanted to get some family photos, I was beyond ecstatic. In fact, I was emotional because having people come back is such a huge compliment. This session also meant so much to me because I was getting to meet Treyton! I love my clients and love getting to be apart of their lives. Getting to photograph Treyton when he was still in Jessica’s belly and then getting to meet him in person was so much fun!

Man, does Treyton have personality! Jessica told me ahead of time that Treyton is not necessarily the biggest fan of photos. She said that he can always spot a camera or tell when someone is taking photos of him and she was right. It was so funny to see how one moment he’d be all smiley and giggling and then the second I put my camera on him, he’d be frowning or mean mugging me. We laughed about it and managed to get some of him smiling with a few tricks!

Last time we worked together, we had little to no sunset which was such a bummer because when we have sunsets here, they’re beyond stunning. Jessica and Lucas are from Kentucky and they were showing me photos of the sunsets over there which are also really pretty. It’s interesting to see how sunsets differ across the states. Here in the panhandle of Florida, our sunsets are often pastel colors. Over in Kentucky, they’re more vibrant in red and orange. Thankfully, this time around we had the prettiest purple and pink sky. We even got to see a rainbow in the distance which was Treyton’s first time seeing a one. We played in the sand and even got in the water a bit, which Treyton wasn’t the biggest fan of. The session resulted in us snapping a photo together and saying see you later.
